Skygold Ventures Ltd.

The 100 % Spanish Mountain Property lies in the heart of the great Cariboo Gold Rush Region of central British Columbia, bordered by numerous historic placer gold mines. For over a century prospectors and mining companies searched the region for the mother lode source of this gold. Through this era Spanish Mountain teased mining enthusiast with spectacular specimens of gold from quartz veins several of which were mined by small open pits. High grade drill intercepts of multiple ounce material was also not uncommon.

In 2004 Skygold Ventures determined to find an explanation, drilled a series of Holes down slope from the historic veins out into the heart of the soil anomaly and discovered British Columbia’s first recognized Sediment Hosted Gold System.

The Discovery

Hole # 216 and # 221 drilled several hundred metres down slope from the high grade areas, intercepted multiple zones 60 to 80 meters wide with near surface gold mineralization and geologists knew the company was onto a major new discovery. Independent experts confirmed the company’s findings and classified the gold system as a member within Sediment Hosted Gold Deposits sparking the largest staking rush in the history of British Columbia.

Spanish Mountain Main Zone

After approximately 100,000m of drilling and an unprecedented hit ratio, the deposit remains open in all directions. The system has been methodically defined so far over an area stretching more than 1.2 kilometres north south 850 metres east west and up to 300metres in depth. Multiple parallel horizons typically from 40 to 130 metres in thickness lie parallel to the mountain slope creating an ideal situation for potential low cost open pit bulk mining methods.
The Company disclosed an updated resource estimate for Spanish Mountain in a release dated March 18, 2009. The updated measured and indicated resource at a gold cut-off grade of 0.5 g/t is 102.26 million tonnes at an average grade of 0.785 g/t (2.58 million ounces gold) and an inferred resource of 11.65 million tonnes at an average grade of 0.787 g/t (290,000 ounces gold). The Main Zone remains open to the north, south and at depth. Modeling of all drill data has identified a north-south oriented structural corridor within and extending beyond the current limits of the Main Zone.

The property hosts numerous other high potential exploration areas.

Preliminary metallurgical work indicates 88-90% recovery with standard processing techniques.
